Lioness reusable pads were created for the purpose of protecting the dignity and well- being of girls and women in Africa during their period. A beacon of hope for young women especially, who often otherwise miss school and work during their menstrual cycle.

Reusable pads are an affordable and sustainable product that give girls and women alike, freedom to go about their day to day activities without fear of embarrassment should their sanitary wear leak..

Lioness Pads was established to enable girls and women to live normal, productive and dignified lives where something as natural and normal as a period does not hold them back.

Because of the work that Lioness Pads is doing, African girls no longer have to pause and hide during their monthly cycle. Our pads enable women and girls to manage their periods with dignity and still get on with their day to day daily activities such as school and work, contributing directly to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals 4 & 5.

Lioness pads are comfortable to wear, ultra-absorbent, contain wings with an easy fastening mechanism and are washable with every use. They can be reused for 12 months +. The reusable design of LP drastically reduces waste, improving sanitation and reducing landfills of undegradable single use Pads.

Our passion for Menstrual health comes not only from the company being female owned and run, but also from the conviction that it is every girls and woman’s right, to have the resources and means to menstruate with comfort and dignity. Over half the world menstruate and it’s easy to overlook this fact! We strongly feel that in this decade, it is absolutely unacceptable that there are still millions of girls around the world who are held back in many ways because of a natural monthly occurrence!!! For that matter an occurrence that will happen for 40 years + of their lives.

Lioness Pads manufacturing warehouse was built locally in rural area of Zimbabwe, thereby creating jobs for local women. We believe in rural infrastructure and doing what we can to help alleviate poverty and enable women to earn money for basics like taking their children to school and getting healthcare for themselves and their families when they need it.

Our mission at Lioness Pads, is to benefit the survival of women economically and emotionally while protecting their dignity too!
